Audlem Baptist Church Ministries

When Saint Paul wrote his letter to the Ephesian Christians he likened the Church to a body in which all the various limbs and organs played their part. Even a small Church requires many people to serve in a variety of ways so that the whole functions correctly. We are so grateful to all the members of our congregation who have a ministry the effect of which we all share.

Bill is our Church Secretary and he makes all the arrangements with those who lead our worship Sunday by Sunday.

Christine is responsible for the Sunday School, assisted by others as required from time to time.

Eunice, Emma, Alan and Sue take responsibilty for the music in the worship services.

We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month and Anne makes all the arrangements for the communion table.

It is so lovely to have fresh flowers at the front of the Church on a Sunday and Chris arranges the rota so that this happens.

Judi is our Mission Secretary and arranges the annual Garden Party in aid of Judy Cook, whose ministry in Thailand we support.

Gerald arranges a rota of people who provide a welcome at the Church door.

Gill takes responsibility for the catering and Judi makes sure that we have a steady supply of biscuits and tea and coffee!

Alan and Judi have responsibilty for the mid-week meetings for prayer and Bible Study.

Martin keeps a watchful eye on the building. Eli looks after the garden and keeps the grass cut.

Anne takes the minutes of our Church Meetings and Margaret types them. Alan looks after the Church accounts.

We take our responsibilities to children in the Sunday School seriously and Eileen is the Children's Advocate and we are grateful to Andrew for being the 'Responsible Person' in terms of the national 'Safe to Grow' policy.
