Poetry Peter Roberts, who was for a long time one of the members of our congregation and a local preacher himself, wrote poetry for many years. He derived great pleasure from the way that sounds and words can open a door into deeper truths about the world in which we live - a world that God made and sustains day by day - and a world which His Beloved Son came to redeem. Sadly Peter died at the end of 2013 after a short illness, but it is with great pleasure that we use this web site to give Peter's poems a wider audience. The full collection exceeds a hundred items. Some of the poems appear with a short piece of explanatory background written by Peter himself. Here are the poems in our current selection.
